It turns out celebrities don’t escape from this just because they’re famous.

It’s not often that an Instagram photo leads to a police investigation, but this goes to show that it happens sometimes. The actress probably thought it was romantic to post a photo of this heart she carved into a rock near Sedona, but the police had different ideas; damaging a natural feature on US Forest Service land is a crime punishable by up to six months in jail and a maximum $5,000 fine. Hudgens deleted the photo, but had to pay a $1,000 fine.
